Denim can be a real find for those who love unusual shapes and textures. It keeps its shape perfectly and looks good even in the case of a raw edge. If in your closet an extra pair of tight jeans or an outdated denim skirt has been gathering dust for a long time, cut them into pieces without regret!
The easiest way to sew a flower from jeans is to cut out a few petals of different sizes and join them together with a thread or brooch. Complement the core with any decoration you like, such as a flower made of yarn.
You can slightly complicate the design, having cut out all the petals in a spiral. To do this, you need to take a fairly wide piece of denim.
And one more decor option: complicated petals with a fold and stamens of a light shade from the wrong side of denim.
Well, if you want to make jeans a real volumetric rose, follow these instructions:
Cut out wide to do with a wavy edge. Laying on top of the machine seam on the seamy side. Use the stitch with the smallest stitch length.
We turn out the future flower and sew along the bottom edge with wide stitches. We send the part by pulling the thread.
The flexible wire must be threaded into the resulting drawstring. It will become the frame of the future bud.
We collect a rose on a wire. Cut out a small detail with jagged edges to simulate the bottom of the inflorescence.
Shrink inflorescence on a ribbon or a thick thread and turn out.
It remains to wrap the stem ribbon of the desired color.
You can use the front and back sides to create flowers of different colors.
